Opportunities to Serve Joyfully at Convention

Convention attendees are invited to work at the LWML department booths in the exhibit hall and to help with the Gifts from the Heart ingathering. Please contact any of the national vice presidents if you are interested, as they can direct you to the person coordinating each booth or work area. You can contact them using the form found here.

When scheduled, you will work with at least one committee member. Work times are available on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. No work will be scheduled during convention sessions. Convention COVID precautions will be followed at all times. This would be a great opportunity for husbands and family members to help and enjoy fruitful time well spent. Please pass this request along to your district members.

2019–2021 Mission Grant 13 — Digital Media Development — PAID in Full!

By God’s grace, the 2019–2021 Mission Grant #13: “Digital Media Development – Lutherans For Life” has been paid! Rev. Mike Salemink, Executive Director of Mission and Ministry for Lutherans for Life, wrote, “Thanks be to God for our partnership during the last two years. Lutherans For Life has deeply appreciated the support and encouragement of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. We asked LWML to assist us with funds for creating a collection of resources like video clips, webinars, podcasts, and other audiovisual media to engage our neighbors online with the sanctity of life. The generous mission grant of $30,000 awarded for our Digital Media Development initiative has proved exceptionally fruitful, and our Lord has granted these efforts His blessing of success!” He also shared the link to a six-minute YouTube video that tells the story of Lutherans for Life.

Concordia Theological Seminary Fort Wayne Students Send Thank-you Notes

Each spring the LWML sends gifts to the vicarage and internship students at both of our LCMS seminaries as they receive their assignments for the next year. We receive many notes from these students thanking us for the gifts which include a gift card to CPH. One student wrote “It is truly a blessing to have such loving and caring individuals thinking of us and praying for us. May our gracious Lord continue to bless you.” And may the Lord bless all these students in their service to Him!
