Featured December 2018 — THE PERFECT GIFT

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:23–24). 

Icebreaker idea: Best Gift – Christmas is a time for giving and receiving gifts.  What is the best gift you have ever given or received?

Featured November 2018 — PRAISE HIM!

Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wondrous works! (Psalm 105:1–2). 

Icebreaker idea: Sing Praises! – Share your favorite song of praise. What are your favorite words in that song?

Mission Servants Project: ENJOY remembering the wonderful works of God with a “thanksgiving tree.” Secure a large bare tree branch in a pot. Cut out colorful leaf shapes from construction paper. Punch a hole in the top of each leaf and tie a string so the leaf can be hung from a tree branch. Hand the leaves out at the end of a worship service and ask individuals to write on the leaf a work of God for which they want to thank Him. Hang completed leaves on the tree branch. Ask your pastor to include these joyful prayer thoughts in a Thanksgiving worship service.
