“J-O-Y, not y-o-j,” is a phrase I use a lot with my students and staff. What it centers on is that when we live each day focusing on Jesus first, others second, and you [ourselves] last, all that we do and say happens well and in God’s order.
This week I am full of J-O-Y, for I am attending the LWML Convention in Des Moines. My joy in worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with sisters and brothers in Christ is great. My joy in being in fellowship and re-uniting with friends I may not have seen for a couple years (or longer) is great. My joy in attending my 16th LWML Convention is great. My first one was in 1985 in Ames, Iowa. What joy I have in returning to Iowa to celebrate God’s bountiful blessings!
Along with many, many others, I am sowing seeds of His love, His peace, and His true joy. I am being nourished and because of God’s goodness through the LWML, I am reaping untold benefits.
The Bible verse for convention is: And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8 NIV).
The Time is NOW! I pray you celebrate J-O-Y every day, as you share God’s bountiful blessings.
