Do You See What I See?

nullFrom the Editor ...

Last year this conventional "always-sitting-in-the-same-pew" gal did a radical thing: After sitting in the same place in the living room for my entire married life, I moved to the couch across the room. This ongoing experiment continues to bring me a new way to enjoy the space from unexpected sightings of here to fore hidden knick-knacks to a different sense of light coming through the windows.

Think back to the places you have lived and the different views you've had from those windows. I've seen an alleyway, a supermarket parking lot, the Empire State Building (now that was some view!), and the windows of my neighbors looking back at me.

What have you seen? What do you see now?

At this moment, the window beside my computer offers me a view of the fork in the road-a metaphor-rich vista-and the window behind me opens to the west to reveal the foothills of the Catskill Mountains in the distance. A country view has replaced my city view.

"Do You See What I See?" is the theme for this issue of the LWQ. Take a look and enjoy the view.
