When I was a young wife, just starting my career, living in a place far from my hometown and family, I was invited by a lady at my new church to attend an LWML meeting. This woman encouraged me to participate in LWML events and to serve in various roles. She gently prodded me to accept elected positions, always sharing with me her knowledge of LWML and her example of leadership and service to others. She saw in me a future leader, something that I couldn't see.
This friend was an amazing example of how to mentor, how to engage, encourage and equip someone, leading to enjoyment of all things LWML. Is there a young woman in your life who could benefit by your being willing to be a mentor to her?
